Vet Team Six is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting veterans in need. We help veterans with things such as lawn clean-ups, pressure washing, minor home repairs, etc, at no cost. We help veterans within a 50-mile radius of Valdosta, Georgia.
The Mission Continues to provide support and resources to veteran-led community service projects. The projects are designed to address critical needs in veteran communities.
Our Help In Numbers
As the number of veterans returning from combat increases, it is important to know how to support a veteran. While each veteran is different and will require different levels of support, there are some general things that can be done to help.
The first step is to simply listen. Many veterans have experienced things that are difficult to talk about. Just being a good listener can provide a great deal of support. It’s also important to be patient and understand that some veterans may be dealing with PTSD or other mental health issues.
Another way to support a veteran is by helping them connect with resources they need. This could include connecting them with mental health services, housing assistance, or job training programs. There are many organizations that can help connect veterans with the resources they need.
